Where Tarsee fits

The calls you can't take, handled.

Your marketing fills the pipeline. Tarsee makes sure you don't drop what it brings you. The calls already come in. The gap is the ones you can't pick up. That's the part Tarsee owns.

Top · your marketing Getting seen

Your Google listing, ads, truck signage, and referrals. They get you found and make the phone ring.

Tarsee works here Middle · the call you can't take Catching the call

When you can't pick up, the call rolls to Tarsee instead of voicemail. It answers in your name, gets the job details, then hands them to you. The front desk you never had.

Bottom · you Doing the work

The quote, the visit, the repair, the install. The hands-on work only you can do.

1 The problem

You were on a job. The customer moved on.

Getting found is not the hard part. Your marketing already does that. Answering the phone is. You're up a ladder or asleep, the call goes to voicemail, and a customer with a burst pipe just calls the next contractor on Google.

You're on a job

Hands full, gloves on, drill running. A new customer calls about a repair, and calls the next contractor when no one picks up.

It's after hours

Pipes burst and furnaces die at night and on weekends. The call comes at 9pm and goes straight to voicemail.

You're between jobs

Driving, grabbing parts, on another call. You see the missed call an hour later. The fastest contractor already booked the work.

100×more likely to reach a new customer if you answer in 5 minutes, not 30.
24/7answered in your name, even the 2am burst-pipe call.
Everycall answered, even the ones you'd have missed.

Source: MIT / InsideSales.com Lead Response Management study (100× contact-odds, 5 vs 30 min; US, ~2011). Directional. The point every owner already feels: the fastest one to call usually wins the job.

2 How it works

A call comes in. The phone rings. You get a ready customer.

No change to your website. You set the rules once, and Tarsee does the rest, every time.

1

A call comes in while you're busy

A customer phones about a repair while you're on a job, on another call, or it's after hours. From Google, your truck, or a referral, wherever.

2

It answers, instead of voicemail

Your line forwards to Tarsee when you can't pick up. It answers in your name, says it's your assistant, and finds out what the caller needs: the problem, the address, and how urgent it is.

3

It flags real emergencies

A burst pipe or no heat gets flagged to you right away. Routine jobs are captured for when you're free. It never quotes a firm price, so that stays with you.

4

It texts you the job

The job details land on your phone the moment the call ends, so you call back fast. Prefer it to book for you? Adding calendar booking is a simple step up.

3 Why "Tarsee"

Named after the animal that misses nothing in the dark.

The tarsier is a tiny night hunter with the largest eyes, for its size, of any mammal. It's the right mascot for a receptionist built to catch every call you can't get to yourself.

Works the night shift

The tarsier is nocturnal. It works while the world is asleep. Tarsee answers after hours and on weekends, exactly when emergencies happen and your voicemail would pick up.

The Philippine tarsier is a nocturnal primate, active through the night.

Never drops a call

Its eyes are so large that each one weighs about as much as its brain, built to spot the smallest movement. Tarsee is just as watchful. Every call gets answered, even the ones you can't pick up.

It has the largest eyes, relative to body size, of any mammal.

Gets the whole picture

Its eyes are fixed, so it turns its head almost 180° to take in everything around it. Tarsee is just as thorough on the call: the problem, the address, how urgent, so you get the full story, not half a message.

Because its eyes can't move, a tarsier turns its head ~180° each way.

Hears every call

A sharp-eared hunter that rarely comes home empty. Tarsee picks up in a warm, natural voice, listens carefully, and hands you a customer who's ready to book.

Sharp hearing makes it a highly successful nocturnal hunter. Endemic to the Philippines, a quiet nod to Asenvi's roots.
4 The safeguards

It answers the call. You keep control.

Tarsee handles only the call itself: the pickup, a few questions, and the hand-off. Everything a business owner must own stays with you, on purpose.

What it will do

A few simple questions, then it hands the job to you.

  • Ask who they are and how to reach them.
  • Ask what the job is, the address, and how soon they need it.
  • Flag a real emergency (burst pipe, no heat, lockout) straight to you.
  • Text the job to your team the moment the call ends.
  • Say up front, honestly, that it's your automated assistant.

What it won't do

The pricing and scheduling stay with you, by design.

  • Never quotes a firm price or a final total.
  • Never promises an arrival time you didn't set.
  • Never diagnoses the problem or gives repair advice.
  • Never dispatches a truck on its own.
  • Never pretends to be you.

Why the limits matter. If a caller asks "how much will it cost?" or "can you come right now?", Tarsee warmly says you'll confirm that with them directly, then sends you the job. Keeping pricing and scheduling with you keeps Tarsee a helpful front desk, not a dispatcher making promises you can't keep. It is a tool your business operates; it never sets prices or dispatches on its own.

8 Questions

Straight answers.

The big ones owners ask. If yours isn't here, just ask on a quick call.

Q1How does it actually answer my calls?
You forward your existing number to Tarsee when you can't pick up, using your phone's normal "busy or no-answer" call forwarding, or full-time for after hours. Nothing new to install, and you keep your own number. When a call comes in and you don't answer, it rings Tarsee instead of voicemail.
Q2Will my callers know it's not me?
Yes. It says up front that it's your automated assistant. It's only there to greet the caller and take the details when you can't, then hand them to you. You're still the one they meet, talk to, and trust.
Q3Will it quote prices or promise times I can't keep?
No. It never quotes a firm price and never promises an arrival time you didn't set. It gets the job details (what's wrong, the address, how urgent) and passes them to you. You stay in control of pricing and scheduling. See the safeguards above.
Q4How is this different from Jobber or an answering service?
They do different jobs. Jobber schedules and invoices the work; a call centre just takes a message. Tarsee actually answers the phone in your name, gets the job details, flags real emergencies, and texts you, day and night. It plugs into the calls you already get, no new number.
Q5Won't customers mind that it's a robot?
It's only the first minute, not the job. And it's not the robot versus you. It's a warm, friendly pickup instead of voicemail, and voicemail reaches no one. You can hear the voice yourself on a quick call.
Q6What about emergencies like a burst pipe or no heat?
Those are exactly what it's built for. You tell us what counts as urgent, and when one comes in, Tarsee flags it to you right away so you can call back fast. Routine jobs are captured and texted to you for when you're free.
Q7Is my customers' information kept private?
Yes. Tarsee is built in BC. A caller's details are used only to answer their call, take the job, and pass it to you. They are never sold, and never shared with anyone but your business. If calls are recorded, that's disclosed at the start, and anyone can ask to have their data deleted. The plain-English details are in our privacy policy.
Q8What does it cost, and is there a contract?
A flat monthly fee, less than most answering services, and far less than one missed job. It's month-to-month with no lock-in, and there's no per-minute meter. The base plan answers and texts you the job; adding calendar booking is a simple step up. We go through exact pricing on a quick call.
